Environmental Graphics Design • Project Management
The property manager of this multi-tenant office building wanted two environmental graphics to complement the updated interior design of the shared common space. This multi-functional space serves as an oasis for employees taking a break, while also being able to accommodate large meetings or events. The cyclorama spans a curved wall at the back of the auditorium, complementing the large stage graphic. Given that this space serves as a respite area, the intention was to create an environment that offers both escape and discovery.
The cyclorama depicts a world of clouds with floating islands, where airships replenish the islands with water. Framing either end of the graphic, creeping flowers add a touch of natural beauty. This world exudes vastness, but turning around to face the stage graphic reveals a contrasting scene—giant stacks of books and people climbing ladders. As they ascend, the individuals gradually grow younger. The curtain is pulled down and starting to sag, giving a glimpse of the outside world where large flowers attempt to break in. This space is starting to tell a story – the imagination can go wild.
This captivating graphic invites viewers to immerse themselves in a realm of imagination and possibilities. It serves as a visual catalyst, inspiring the beholders to embrace their own sense of escape and discovery within this multifaceted space.
